Natural Japanese style garden / Sprout

In the middle of May, we can find several flowers blooming such as Cornus florida or Satsuki Azalea on the street and feel the transition of the season.

At this time, I visited a garden I finished making this spring to see the new leaves coming from the trees. This place was used to build a house, and the owner decided to tear down it and make a garden. I think we should make this kind of project more in Tokyo since we have only a few green spaces especially in the residential area and lot of single-build house does not have green space at all.

The scenery of the garden was stunning, there were various colors in the garden and made me relax and comfortable just being there and seeing them. I was happy my client allowed me to make this kind of place. I believe that they and people living around also feel better having green space close to their homes.

Since my clients are elderly couples, I made a step-free, accessible path to the home from the car parking place and street. On the contrary, I arranged stepping stones to cross the path. In the near future, trees are growing taller and they will make a green tunnel in the garden space.

Because of a limited budget, I planted relatively young trees at this time. After a couple of years later, the garden will look different in a better way with mature trees.

We also need to keep in mind the path to the parking space from the home.

The waving path makes it more fun to walk toward the car, and trees and shrubs decorate the path too.

It is the most important part of natural style garden beautiful that to maintain proper way to keep them grow healthy, appropriate trimming is necessary for the not so big space in the middle of Tokyo.
